President Donald Trump on Wednesday threatened to punish Michigan for mailing absentee ballot applications to all state voters ahead of the election.
“This was done illegally and without authorization by a rogue Secretary of State,” Trump wrote on Twitter. “I will ask to hold up funding to Michigan if they want to go down this Voter Fraud path!”
On Tuesday, Michigan’s Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson announced that the state would send ballot applications — not actual absentee ballots — to 7.7 million voters in the state.
“By mailing applications, we have ensured that no Michigander has to choose between their health and their right to vote,” Benson said in a statement. “Voting by mail is easy, convenient, safe, and secure, and every voter in Michigan has the right to do it.”
The plan will cost $4.5 million, which the secretary of state said would come from the CARES Act. The act passed by Congress provides funding for Election Security grants.

The report that mail-in ballots found in MD proves Democrats are rigging the elections. Is this not against Federal voting laws? How can this voting tampering be legal? It is called SOCIALISM.
Please do the same for Maryland! I can only imagine how many ballots that could be used fraudulently, in Baltimore alone how many people have moved and how many houses or apartments are empty. Hogan is stealing our voter rights!
Odd that he's made no mention of Utah or Iowa, GOP strongholds, who are both offering vote by mail. Utah's done it for a few years now. But not a peep about those states. Wonder why...
So...We The People, The TAXpayers should hold up our money to the governors that cant abide by the laws. Withhold their pay until they represent the people.
They mailed them out and even filled them in for the voters to save them time and energy. All the voters has to do is just send it in come November.

Michigan is punishing itself, no outside assistance necessary. Of course, we'll all pay for the foolishness.
I think voting should be controlled. Voter ID, whether by mail or electronically. It can be done but politicians would rather cheat especially when they k ow there is no other way.
