Newly released police bodycam video shows Georgia slay victim Ahmaud Arbery being handcuffed and arrested for shoplifting in 2017.
The video, dated Dec. 1, 2017, shows Arbery and three teenagers being confronted by police in the parking lot of a Walmart shopping center, according to the footage posted on YouTube on Tuesday.
“Tell me about the TV,” a police officer asks.
“TV? What? We don’t have any TV,” Arbery, wearing shorts and a parka, responds.
“What about the 65-inch TV?” the cop says.
“Sixty-five-inch TV?” Arbery says.
“Do me a favor,” the cop replies. “All of you take a seat.”
“Take a seat for what?” Arbery snaps back. “I don’t know nothing about no TV. … I don’t steal no TV.”

Northwest Woodsman: I see this as one less dindunuffin that would have developed and refined his talents for criminality over time. He already proved that he was inclined toward criminal activity and further, his license was suspended indicating even more issues with his behavior. Sad that they roam among us.

An unrelated incident 3 years ago isn’t justification for someone being killed.That’s not how it works. Or at least not how the law explains it. I thought law and order was supported on this page. If convicted and eventually released, I hope the McMicheals aren’t treated the same way folks on here feel is ok for Arbery. Because apparently that is their nature and it would be sad that they continued to roam among us.

here is the deal - none of this will be allowed for defense. They will say he was a minor and they cant use it. Anything that happens against them is racist. WE have let it happen.

I agree what he did 3 years ago isn't relevant. Even if he had just been charged with shoplifting an hour before being shot it's not relevant. The question is was the shooting justified. 2 prosecutors concluded it was so declined to press charges. It wasn't until after a grand jury recommended indictment were charges filed. This because there are questions. The video right before the shooting clearly and without any question show Arbery as the aggressor. The McMichael son is seen clearly backing off and Arbery continuing to come after him. This is not even debatable. Arbery was the aggressor. There are also other videos according to one of the defense attorneys and at least one shows even a better picture of what was going on. Arbery is dead only because of his own actions. He should never have gone into a house he has no business being in. He should never have run from the home. Police had been called. He should have waited like a civilized person would do and explain to the police that he was just being nosy or whatever. But again he is dead only because he chose to become violent and act out aggressively.

His juvenile record is now sealed, but a source in the court has tweeted that it is over an inch thick!

It's now evident his criminal record goes back to 2013, at a minimum, with the gun charge. Others are contending he also had an extensive juvenile record, which is not open to the public. Video of his questioning by police in recent years has been shown; being in the wrong place at the wrong time; draw your own conclusions about that. Now the shoplift details come forward. Not every criminal gets arrested every time they commit a crime. No one has let slip if he held an actual job, or was just a thief with a record of packing at times.
While he died as a result of the scuffle in February, he wasn't murdered. Trying to wrestle a shotgun pointed at you turned out to be a low percentage bet, which he lost.
