Joe, let's just pretend your local mayor completely violated the governor's rules (and his own) with an Easter parade that had no masks, no distancing and way too many people... But he tried to silence conservative voices at every turn when they wanted to speak. Then let's imagine that same mayor allowed a police chief to assign a corrupt sergeant to train an out of control police officer who generated multiple lawsuits that were settled for big money, despite being warned about both. And if that same sergeant was demoted for numerous bad acts but allowed to stay in positions of authority that led to allegations of inappropriate sexual liabilities at work? Then let's pretend that same mayor allowed a police chief to remain in charge despite allowing purported thefts from the property room and criminal acts by multiple employees. Imagine if that same mayor allowed that same police chief to restructure the organization to hide 4-5 sworn officers who can no longer testify in court because of the lies of a senior member. Imagine even after all that of that if the mayor allowed a police command staff member to ask a subordinate to violate the quarantine orders of both MD and DE to help them paint at their personal residence, while at the same time other police officers were put on paid leave for potential COVID-19 exposure. Imagine the depth of the hypocrisy not even mentioned here (hypothetically there is so much more)... If that was your mayor, your police department, would you be ok? Would you call the feds or the attorney general? Asking for a friend. When is the hypocritical corruption criminal?
