I hope you this doesn't backfire on him. I do think we need a slow progression to see what happens to the numbers. Not the amount of positive cases as we already know they will continue to rise as we test more, but to hospitalization numbers. What he is using though is data from last year. This isn't last May. Schools are closed and will probably stay that way, which makes alot more families available. If DE beaches stay closed, they will come to OC too. I think it will be an influx of people unfortunately. If it did open as he invisiond, it could be a slow progress to seeing if we can have some sort of a season this summer. The reason they keep saying the number of cases will be higher in the fall is because alot of states are opening and it will drive the numbers up. If we need herd immunity, we can't get that by staying home. The small business sector is being destroyed and it is terrible.

Worcester County may have only 80 diagnosed cases to date, but reopening beaches means the town will be potentially drawing from hundreds of miles away including all of Maryland, which has recorded nearly 1,300 deaths including 74 in the last 24 hours alone, as of this writing. Just last month, town officials were worried that out-of-state condo owners should not risk visiting their properties because the lower Eastern Shore’s limited health facilities could easily be swamped. Is that not still true?

How do we stay at home and OC can open up and get visitors. Why do non-residence get preferential treatment? Adolf Hogan again alters hie 3rd Reich rules for the "elite"

I worry that the council is making a poor decision that is going to cost business owners. I like the idea of waiting until the 22nd. If there's a second wave as a result (people going home and infections drastically rise), Gov Hogey could shut it down mid-summer.
