A Comment Worthy Of A Post 5-22-20

Unless the staff and customers are wearing face mask our family will not go in. In a store, customers with out masks, i leave, and leave the cart in its tracks. If you people want business to open again show some MUTUAL respect.

Publishers Notes: You have every right to your choice, just as in we have every right to our choice. If you people are so afraid of this virus, stay home. It really is that simple. Aside from that "anonymous", do tell us exactly what business isn't wearing masks because frankly I think you are full of crap desperate for attention.

That was a nice comment. It was polite, no name calling and to the point....BUT, i find THEM & US now at a crossroad regarding MUTUAL SUPPORT, as I DO respect "THEIR" choice to not shop, eat etc at that establishment, they worded it in a way that is NOT mutually respectful, by saying they will only come if WE'RE made to go against out beliefs, and that takes away OUR ability to CHOOSE....Hmmmm

If you have a mask on nobody’s else needs one.

Good leave the cart walk out and don't let the door hit you in your arse on the way out. If you think for one second the measly dollars you spend anywhere will make a difference then you are delusional.

You should go into Food Rite in Snow Hill. The girl behind the Deli counter wears a mask, but it isn’t covering her face. It’s tucked under her chin. Cashiers are the same way.

Man its almost June and the SNOWFLAKES are out.... You think that mask is helping you.... LMAO

I think being in a store or restaurant with a mask on and around others with masks on is strange. I have missed church very much, but I won’t wear a mask there. I will go to the grocery store like that because it is absolutely necessary for my family and me. I just don’t like groups of people’s faces and mouths covered, as if they are being controlled or suppressed. Strange times.

Mr/MS hall monitor, Please stay home, you have bought into the biggest hoax ever. Put your tablet of names away and go back to calling complaints into every establishment you go to. I am sure they are missing all of your drama.

I was saying it should be our choice to go to a business and the choice of the business to open way before the States and Cities even started ordering shutdowns. Unlike some people who were trying to panic people without reliable info.

That poster is a fool. Face masks are not going to stop him from getting exposed. I’m honestly sick of everyone wearing masks. It’s not the new normal. False sense of security.

You people are fools...... this virus BS is nothing more than an election game plan. The rats have been trying to get rid of Big Balls Trump for almost 4 years.......WAKE UP!

What good is a mask when people don't wear them properly? What good is a mask when very few stop the intake of the virus completely? The executive order does not demand a proper fit and knows mask are not readily available to all people.

People use your COMMON SENSE if you have any.

Not wearing a mask is akin to second hand tobacco smoke. Just because you selfish pinheads don’t want to be told to wear one, doesn’t mean you get to increase the exposure of the rest of us. It is essentially without dispute that masks are effective.
This mask resistance reminds me of when the disgusting nicotine-addicted smokers were told they could no longer poison the rest of us, and had to smoke outside.
This is the same selfish and disobedient attitude!

We are not the enemy, we are Americans and this hostile environment was not caused by us and we need to keep that in perspective. Respect towards your fellow man/woman still applies. Focus needs to remain overseas and helping America rise again together.

If not, all of us will fail...

If we fail, no more Bourbon from Kentucky and that will really piss me off!

Non surgical masks are 2% affective.

I agree with most everyone here. Masks do not stop the virus, they look horrible, their hot and uncomfortable to wear and I don't appreciate the fact that big brother tells me if I want to food shop I am REQUIRED to wear one. But whatever - it is NOT the new norm nor will I ever accept it as such and will look forward to the day when I don't HAVE to wear one.
As for others - agreed, if you don't feel safe don't go out.

7:30- I saw that too this morning, about 8am. I went back at 4 to refill w/ gas after driving 300 miles today. Masks were on. Some of them are much better than others, but they are still usually the cheapest gas on MD's eastern shore. They are also usually behind barriers when the masks are down, when it is slow, too. I am not one to defend them, but they've really done more to separate employees from customers than most, which is commendable. I couldn't imagine wearing a mask for 8 hours. I'd pass out. I seem to cough a lot when my mask is on. I couldn't do what they are doing. I'd quit. Cut them a little slack. I'm sure they work harder than me and for much less.

What bothers me is that if a business says customers must wear masks that they enforce their own rule. Seeing 99.9% of customers follow the rule and a couple of people with masks down around their chins while store managers turn a blind eye. If a mask is the rule...wear it...or make the choice to go elsewhere.

It's truly an asinine thought. What is lacking is an ounce of common sense. If people would use their heads and think about it for a good month we packed into grocery stores and hardly anyone was wearing a mask including many employees. There were zero outbreaks attributed to being out in the public. The fact stands this virus just like all others is spread by close contact in small spaces for more then a few minutes. What has happened is the media has created paranoia in people and seriously if someone feels this way they really really need to talk to a mental health professional. It is not normal to think this way at all.

It is pinheads like you that are too stupid to think for yourself.

If you are such a chicken little that you're afraid to leave mommy's house without a face diaper then STAY HOME.

Stupidest thing ever. There is no comparison to second hand smoke This is one of you people's major difficulties. You don't use your heads. First off study after study going back years many done for NOISH "use Google!" have resulted in the conclusion that there isn't a mask out there that protects against or prevents the spread of virons. This is why health care workers wear face shields along with masks when dealing with infectious disease.
Secondly no one has a "right" to kill you in a car accident either but it happens. It's called life. Life isn't always pretty. It can be ugly and horrific but again that is life so you need to get over it. Living in fear over something in the big picture is hardly a risk is not normal. Your mental condition is from watching and reading 24 7 news about this.

Anyone who feels this way really should stay home. The protection level offered IF they are worn correctly is very little. Same with the containment level. Even N95's were shown to allow a significant number of virus particles to escape when the wearer coughed or sneezed. The number wasn't much different if they didn't have a mask on. This in a controlled setting where the mask was worn properly. On the other side N95's the penetration of virons EXCEEDS the expected level of 5%.

Just imagine where the smoke would go from a mask wearing smoker? Out the sides where there is not tight seal, just as everyone else's breath does. The mask a joke people.

I was in 3 stores this week. All employees had masks but quite a few customers didn't even though it's required in MD and DE. What I have learned in life and it's served me very well is you and you alone are responsible for yourself That is a fact of life that you have no choice but to live up and you best not forget it. With that in mind anyone who feels as this person does stay home. In this day and age you can buy anything and have it delivered right to your home.
The comments saying no one has a "right" is one of the most incredibly ignorant things to come out of this. No one has a right to drive drunk and kill you either but it happens. That is why in this case people should for once in their lives get responsible and protect themselves instead of wanting others to do it for them.

The grocery stores have a responsibility to teach their associates the proper way to wear a mask - Acme struggled with this as their new seafood department worker pulls his down to talk to the customers as he has their food in his hand.
