'They go after churches but they don't tend to go after mosques': Trump accuses Democrats of anti-Christian bias and wonders if states will enforce social distancing on Muslims during Ramadan

President Trump on Saturday claimed that states have been unfairly targeting Christians by not allowing religious gatherings due to the coronavirus pandemic while suggesting that they won’t enforce the same rules with Muslims during Ramadan.

‘You know I just spoke with leaders and people that love mosques,’ the president said on Saturday.

‘They love mosques! And I’m all in favor of that.

‘But I would say that there could be a difference. And we’ll have to see what will happen.

‘Because I have seen a great disparity in this country. I’ve seen a great disparity.’

Trump on Saturday retweeted a post by a conservative author, Paul Sperry, who wrote: ‘Let’s see if authorities enforce the social-distancing orders for mosques during Ramadan (April 23 – May 23) like they did churches during Easter.’

To be completely candid, I hope all this "social distancing", "masking" and limited assembly has gone by the wayside and will be in the dust bin of history.

Obama has been going to the Masque 3 times a day praying the virus would kill more older conservative voters.

Opens up all Governors that allow this cult to attend will open themselves up for lawsuits, discrimination, constitution violations. The churches should sue for the maximum.

More manufactured outrage, and manufactured problems to pretend that they solved.

OF COURSE they will stop gatherings. This is a pandemic... quit sowing seeds of division. This is NOT what LEADERS do. This is not what Presidents do ESPECIALLY IN TIMES OF CRISIS!

More proof that the emperor wears no clothes.

There already is a double standard and has been from the start. I live by a mosque myself and it is always busy with a dozen or more vehicles parked out front every day, and never once were the cops seen there to arrest their imam.

Democrats and their elected officials are hypocrites and are ignoring mosques, they only target Churches.

When Ramadan happens tomorrow you know that no single Mosque will have the police outside waiting to arrest people, or throwing nails on the tarmac in the hopes of popping the tires like what the police in Kentucky did to Christians.
