Baltimore sees more than 50 homicides so far in 2020

Only into the third month of the new year and more than 50 people have been killed in the Baltimore city area.

The Baltimore Police Department announced Sunday that 19-year-old Graham Blake was charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of a 26-year-old man on Friday, one of four shootings in Charm City Friday night that left two men dead and four injured.

At least 52 homicides were been reported throughout the city as of March 2, according to a tally by The Baltimore Sun. The major northeastern city in Maryland of more than 600,000 people is one of the most dangerous in America, according to the FBI.

"This city was never like this, even when it was at its worst," activist Tyree Moorehead told FOX45 on Sunday. “That's scary because there's people whose family members haven’t been shot yet that have a bullet with their name on it and don't even know it."

It's really only the northeastern part of the city. I have friends that live in little Italy. They come and go, walk everywhere including resturants, sit out on the decks on the street, to and from the stadiums for concerts or sporting events. To the inner Harbor. It's really nice there.
But they go nowhere near the northeast part of Baltimore.

Your friends are lying to you. The walking days are over. The junkies have taken over and are aggressive. Lack of patrols has allowed all crime to move into the once safe area.

8:28- 100% completely factually inaccurate! My aunt lives on the south west side. One week an ATM was ripped from the building across the street. The next week someone was killed in her front yard. This was a few months back. Also, one block away from little Italy are all those vacant dilapidated townhomes. It is not safe. Even Lexington Market, in the heart of Baltimore, is not safe. The entrance to any hotel in Baltimore is not safe. The Inner Harbor is not safe. Your best chances are the stadiums and Fells Point during the day.

Northwest Woodsman: It is the culture darn it! Just need to acknowledge the loss of a once great city and give refugee status and financial support to those citizens who are not of the predominate tribal culture and relocate them in a manner such as used to relocate third world dregs who are incompatible with our civilization. Let catholic charities and Lutheran services collect our tax dollars helping our citizens who are currently residing in a hostile, lawless city that is as bad as anything in the Middle East.

I call BS on 8:28. My brother-in-law and his family were robbed coming out of Ruth's Chris Steak House and walking to their car. All of Charm City is potentially violent at any time!
