BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Judges have denied a request from Baltimore State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby to dismiss convictions in nearly 5,000 cases of marijuana possession.
Mosby announced in January that she would cease prosecuting cases of marijuana possession as well as ask the courts to throw out thousands of old convictions.
She said those cases clog the system.
The State’s Attorney’s Office said it is considering its options following the judge’s ruling.

Told you it is all about the money, and no matter how much you want it to, or if it goes full legal, the govt will find a way to take money from you and punish you for have it...
Let's go case by case, shall we?
I probably wouldn't agree with her on anything else but if the cases were for simple use or possession, I agree with her. I think it would be hard to find more than just a few people under the age of 50 that haven't at least tried it.
easy peasy ask for trial vote em free!
Come on folks.
They simply cannot give up that much income (prison industry) in one fell swoop.
The war on drugs was never about the plants.

It's not about the people. ITS ALWAYS BEEN ABOUT THE MONEY. PEOPLE?? NOT!?
She is a big part of what is wrong with Baltimore today. She needs to go. Wish she'd follow Pugh.
9:29 Do you read the crime info just on this blog? Those busted invariably seem to be dealing or carrying weapons that they are prohibited from having. Why would you want to leave them on the street? Or to be driving the same roads as you and your family while under the influence of this, and that and that?
Alternatively, we could just have the laws in question revoked by local, state and federal legislatures and the return to the Wild West.
They were arrested for good reasons. Who needs a SA if there are no cases being prosecuted?
