A looter trying to steal a police car was shot and killed by a Florida State Fire Marshall in Panama City.
WPMI quotes witness Landon Swett, who said the suspect told him he was looting then “opened the door to the police officer’s SUV with the lights going, got in it and shut the door.”
Swett moved his family away from the scene to keep them safe and looked back to see that an official was sitting in the passenger side of the SUV. Swett said, “Then…I heard the shot.”

good job officer.
There was a time when fire marshals weren't allowed to carry a sidearm. Big mistake, as there are often people near disaster and potential crime scenes who want to do them wrong. Every state should give that power of self-defense to every marshal, with training equal to and alongside law enforcement in that jurisdiction.
6:39, why stop there? All law abiding citizens...
Some one say judge dredd rules.
Floyd learn how to read yet?
Stupid is, as stupid does.
Fire Marshalls don't need a firearm. They investigate fires, that's it. Look at the ones in Worcester. Why do they need outer carrier tac vests? If you want to play cop, be a real cop.
When I went to the academy years ago, we had a fire marshall in the six month basic training. This guy was actually the cream of the crop compared to some of the class. Fire marshall's do the same job as a street cop. They investigate, arrest and finish it up in court. There is the joke, the court system. Arson is the toughest crime on the books to solve. This was years ago and they carried because they deal with criminal element. I have respect for them and their job. If you critic's don't know any better, you are welcome to your opinion.
