No Joke: University Dean Forced To Apologize For Having Republican Friend

Freedom of association now under attack by leftist mob

A University of Georgia professor was forced to apologize after congratulating a friend who happens to be a Republican candidate for governor, according to Campus Reform.

Davis, dean of the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication at UGA, was a classmate of Georgia’s GOP gubernatorial candidate Brian Kemp, and called him a “nice guy,” and “kind to a fault” in a congratulatory tweet following Kemp’s primary win last week.

“I went to high school with GOP guv candidate @BrianKempGA. We played YMCA ball from childhood. Politics be damned. He’s a nice guy, always was. Kind to a fault. He’s a friend, always has been, and will be when we’re old(er) and grey(er). That’s how this should work, people,” Davis tweeted last week.

The left has gone too far with this, no freedom of speech now no freedom of association! If you want to keep your job and are a Republican or conservative you had better delete ALL your social media accounts, keep your mouth shut at work and publish nothing.
Welcome to The Socialist Order of Education brought to you by the new Democratic National Socialist Party!!

Ya can't force some people to grow up. Too bad they'll probably have to learn the hard way the lessons that should have come from their parents and/or educators.

Academia uses vast amounts of public dollars, yet pushes a Liberal political agenda at every turn. Where's the balance?

Prior to BHO being POTUS, our country could have civilized discussions. What did his administration promote to make our country so damn divided?!?
The liberals blame Trump, but this type of behavior does not germinate in 3 months.

Democrats leftist are evil lost souls

However, in our modern culture, the focus on diversity can become its own god. Diversity itself is revered rather than the One who created that diversity. An emphasis on diversity tends to highlight our differences. God is more concerned with unity (Ephesians 4:3). Galatians 3:28 says, “There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” God is saying that our differences are not what should define the children of God. Those who belong to the Lord Jesus should first define themselves as God’s children. We must be willing to set diversity aside in favor of unity in spirit. Jesus’ passionate prayer in John 17shows that His desire for His disciples was that “they may be one as you and I are one” (verse 22).
