DNC: Fundraising woes tied to 2016 conspiracy

The Democratic National Committee, in a lawsuit filed Friday, blamed the party’s fundraising woes during the 2016 presidential race on an nefarious plot, engineered by the Trump campaign, Russian officials and WikiLeaks, to disrupt the election.

The Trump campaign countered that lawsuit is a “sham” attempt to makeup for their lackluster fundraising.

Filed in federal court in Manhattan, the lawsuit says the “illegal conspiracy” between the three groups undercut the party’s message and “sowed discord within the Democratic Party at a time when party unity was essential to electoral success.”

“At the same time, Defendants’ conduct resulted in a dramatic drop in donations to the DNC,” the lawsuit says. “The dissemination of hacked information heightened donors’ concerns that confidential information disclosed through their contributions might be publicly disseminated.”

The Trump campaign fired back.

Democrats message was accusing anyone and everyone that didn't agree with them a racist or bigot. It worked for obama but people got tired of accusations and fake promises. President Trump won. Democrats are still doing it. It will work for local elections but not for president. People are happy with President Trump.

Just proves liberals will try to sue over anything! Where is the proof that fundraising revenue has declined for said reasons? Do they have a list of supposed non-donors ready to testify that if not for said reasons I would have donated or donated more? Another lawsuit which should be dismissed for lack of standing but I am sure they have filed in a liberal court with a liberal judge who will agree with the DNC!!

We were told many left the Democratic party over their misdeeds revealed during and after the last election. Donors withdrew also. They need to quit blaming everything and everyone else for their failures and start listening to real people with real problems and think about helping them instead of themselves.

This suit will die a quite death in discovery.
