In celebration of International Women’s Day 2018, the Governor’s Office of Community Initiatives is hosting the inaugural International Women’s Day Forum. International Women’s Day is celebrated by nations around the world on March 8, and commemorates the movement for women’s rights.
This year’s theme is “Uplift and Empower Women in 2018.”
Topics covered in the inaugural International Women’s Day Forum include:
· The Journey to Self-Discovery and Personal Empowerment with Cheryl Wood;
· Career Transition with Dr. Haideh Sabet;
· The Path to Self-Actualization with Dr. Marissa Leslie;
· Overcoming Present Challenges to Achieve Your Purpose with Dr. Zainab Chaudry;
· Exploring Your Inner Talents with Patricia Celes;
· Finding Your Direction with Catherine Uju Ifejika;
· Domestic Violence and Healthy Relationships with Melissa Holmes; and
· How to Maximize the Effectiveness of Strategic Decisions with Meghan Enriquez.

About the Governor's Office of Community Initiatives The Governor's Office of Community Initiatives is Governor Larry Hogan's office to enhance and improve opportunities for Maryland residents. It oversees the Governor's Office on Service and Volunteerism, Volunteer Maryland,community affairs and engagement within the executive branch of Maryland government, faith-based outreach, and the governor's eight ethnic and cultural commissions.
