A Comment Worthy Of A Post 2-9-17

In the Salisbury Independent this is quoted by Jack Heath.
-------
During past meetings, Heath has opposed $50,000, calling it too low.

“I liken it to the business world. I was asked by one of the councilmen what the salary would be for a CEO with a $58 million company (the city’s annual budget). It would be between $65,000 and $80,000 depending on the company,” he said.
-------

You liken it to the business world? What dumb councilman asked that dumb question because the Mayor is not a CEO that runs a $58 million company. Jake Day hired and inexperienced community organizer that has absolutely no experience running a city. Then the idiot hires TWO inexperienced deputy administrators with NO EXPERIENCE running a city. The additional deputy administrator was hired because he/she was going to be responsible the Folk Festival. A couple of weeks later Jake Day hires some clown working at the Wicomico Day Center to run the National Folk Festival. I don't know about you, but how can a part-time employee working in a daycare center with kiddy's know how to run a large National Folk Festival.

You see Jackie Man, this is why Jake Day doesn't deserve a pay raise. He knew going into the job that it was a part-time mayor's position so again he should only get part-time pay. As a matter of fact, he should donate his current pay to some of the city council members because they are the ones that are underpaid.

are you kidding me?!! $65K to $80K for a CEO of a $58 M company? You guys are way out of touch!!

Duh. A company with a $58 million budget is not the same as a $58 million company, especially when the former is 100% funded by taxes. He should know this. He does know this. Somebody's pulling his strings.

Day is not a CEO. He's an elected mayor with limited powers. A public servant. Local government officials too often hire consulting firms to analyze their salary figures and they compare them to for-profit companies. Then they "sell" the study results to other public officials who are clueless as to what is going on and so approve such ludicrous salaries. Voters need to remember this at the ballot box and make changes.

They probably saw how companies are giving out extra money to employees due to Trump making America great again, so they are trying to cash in on it too. No liberal deserves extra $$ for all the damage they have done to our great Nation.

The CEO of a company that was failing like the city of Salisbury would very son find himself on the dole.. But you know how it is with govt... can't fire them and can't get them to work.

Lol, he sounds like your President who hires people without any experience. Billionaire Betsy, brain surgeon Ben? Ring a bell?

Jack Heath isn't all that he purports to be. He's a company man, limited in ideas and ideology. All company men have those to whom they look to for guidance, whether it be a board of directors or a single entity, like a mayor.
It it isn't hard to see which is the case for Jack, as he's been the guy who has been the tool for both over his years of service. As far as those who elected him, spank yourselves, because he was the singular choice of Jake Day, and you fell into the trap.

I agree that many CEOs might hire their sons and put them on the dole.
But this is a poor comparison to what Day has done.
These young people he hired are not his children or even friends.
They are simply bad hires.
He is inexperienced. That is the problem. He should have worked in a regular job for a while prior to getting into politics.

Heath is a liberal buffoon. He looks, talks and acts the part to a T.

2:21 PM - this city salary increase has been touted long before any bonuses offered by companies in the wake of the President's tax benefits. Nice try, though.

Lol, what about your Illegal Muslim from Kenya that occupied the White House with no experience who hired Muslims and African-Americans with no experience. From the Liberal magazine The Hill "On average, Obama’s appointees had 17 years of experience in academia or government." Ring a bell?

It makes me sick to watch and listen to the city of Salisbury garbage. Its a travesty to see people act like their relevant when their biggest asset is how to lock lips on the bosses ass. Heath is merely a yes man trying to keep himself in the game. I think ex administrator Stevenson was the worst at having to watch. He sole qualification was to latch on to each and every superior and wait on them hand foot

The point has been proven, she is a dismal failure.
