A Viewer Writes: School Shooting
I feel sad for thinking this way, but even more sad for those families that have lost their children. I feel their pain for I have also lost my daughter.

There are over 100K schools in the US and you want them all made in to prisons because of one shooting?
Ever been to a large airport? You realize how long it takes to get through the security line? Hours. Same problem would occur though, like terrorists have adapted to. They know they can't get guns into the airport, so they attack those in the security lines.
Now, we can waste money, install these system, see the school shootings continue, and you'll have to get your kid up and at the school a couple hours early each day in order to stand in line and wait for the domestic terrorists to get a clue. Hell of a plan.
the gov should not provide anything.
if a school wants/needs it then the school system should provide it.
yes that money comes from the gov.
but do not increase my taxes because you cant control your children.
all these issues are a result in the decline of the family, worring too much about feelings (not everyone is special or deserves a trophy), ect ect
Why work on preventing it when we can issue everyone a firearm at birth?
Since most of us on here are usually pretty quick to criticize the Wicomico BOE I’ll give them credit. They already have Door buzzers on the front doors of every school.
Every school in the nation? We don't even have adequate heating or air conditioning in America's schools..
This is will.... just like no one brings stuff into jail... or stabs anyone... people will kill people one way or another.
The numbers don't add up to justify spending $1.5 million plus manpower costs at every school across the country for anything even remotely like this. Get a grip.
I thought more guns was the solution
This is all part of the plan wither you can see it or are to stupid not to see it... They being, the powers that be, want everything technology linked, they want all types of scanners and radiation causing devices to scan you... They want everything electronic and so they can turn on or off at a flip of a switch... NO way in or out... Trying to trap you in like cattle... Which is why all of the road ways are starting to get fences, and barriers, why they want to push for all of these devices in schools, and have been adding to the airports and sea ports... Then at least in MD you have to prove you are a citizen with passports and other papers just to freaking re-new your drivers license... Because why? the real ID act... Where they need your finger prints, and medical data and meta data from your phones on the damn thing (the phone data part is just me being silly becasue all of this is just plain silly and non of you can see no wrong with what is happening), and for what???? Again so they can track you, and know all about you, for what???? but remember all of they stupid people who said, if you have nothing to hide what is the problem, well now this tech will affect them to... When you can't buy bread because you don't have an Id or one that qualifies under the real ID act... oh but as long as you have nothing to hide right?????
Also, remember this, all this tracking, all this spying, yet the FBI, CIA, NSA and the others seem to loose all of the data when it comes to them, when they have to go to court, but it never goes missing when they prosecute you...
Wicomico schools have buzz in to enter the building; but the problem is that students would let people in the building risking safety. . i personally think there need to be more deputies then just one per building; maybe 1 for elementary schools, but one per grade level in middle and high schools.

They insist on keeping the criminal kids in school, then force regular kids to submit to prison conditions "for their safety".
Conditioning us to become prisoners.
Smaller decentralized schools would be the answer.
Part I haven't understood, they have done everything INSIDE the building, but what about when hundreds are outside, bus stops, events etc. Makes no sense.
Give the person who brought up this subject and break - she lost her daughter and is just trying to come up with a solution to protect our children. Sorry for your lost - it has to be very painful. Because of bullying my granddaughter will get her education by mobile schooling. Similar to home schooling. I know, heard the comments no social life - what I heard about social life in schools is very scary. Also understand that President Trump has made private tuition tax deductible. That includes mobile training. Peace of mind also.
