Publishers Notes: I'm sorry, did the City start charging money to visit Winter Wonderland of Lights? Did they hold a fundraiser to afford such a display? Or did Jake Day just go out and spend taxpayer money because he's such a Christian and God told him this was a necessity and the peasants won't mind.

3:18, Of course not. The "Christmas Tree" that represents Salisbury's celebration is at the Government Office Building each and every year. Many days and man hours are spent putting that tree up, lighting and decorating the tree.

I'm absolutely enjoying the Jake day fiasco!! I pray that the whole festival is a clusterf***. These people are planning some big things through Salisbury and through cropper's church. I do like Christmas and decorations. Years ago, when I was a kid the most amazing sight was downtown at the Wicomico County Courthouse. Every inch of that front lawn was surrounded with beautiful lights and decorations along with Santa in his house. It was even way up tall in the trees. After the elaborate Christmas Parade on main street, everyone went to visit Santa. When I say elaborate, there were many, many floats that had a lot of time put in them to show their beauty. Not a dozen cars gunning their motors and burning tires, while displaying a wreath on the grille. Great memories of the past. Today I couldn't tell you what is at the city park because I lost interest some years ago when Santa was removed from display on the corner and replaced with "Wicomico Woody". As I rode past, the displays didn't seem to have Christmas in mind, though pretty. If it ever comes back to the reason for the season, please advise. Because I ride past the park nightly and don't even look anymore. This is not criticism, just personal disappointment.
