NAACP Group Calling National Anthem Lyrics Racist, Anti-Black

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — The California NAACP is pushing to get rid of the national anthem that they’re calling racist and anti-black.

“This song is wrong; it shouldn’t have been there, we didn’t have it ’til 1931, so it won’t kill us if it goes away,” said the organization’s president Alice Huffman.

Colin Kaepernick started the NFL protests, which quickly spread to bring attention to systemic racial injustice in the country. But Huffman says Kaepernick’s message was lost when it turned into a debate about the flag.

The NAACP is the only thing racist.

Their blood has washed out their foul footsteps' pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave:
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Meaning of Star Spangled Banner Lyrics Verse 3

● Francis Scott Key describes the British as arrogant and boastful in the lyrics 'that band who so vauntingly swore'
● He is venting his anger at the British with the "foul footsteps' pollution" lyrics inferring that the British poisoned the ground on which they walked
● But the poison and corruption had been washed away by the blood of the British
● The Star Spangled Banner lyrics "the hireling " refers to the British use of Mercenaries (German Hessians) in the American War of Independence
● The Star Spangled Banner lyrics "...and slave" is a direct reference to the British practice of Impressment (kidnapping American seamen and forcing them into service on British man-of war ships). This was a Important cause of the War of 1812
● Francis Scott Key then describes the Star Spangled Banner as a symbol of triumph over all adversity

The National Association for Colored People has done NOTHING for colored/black/Negros/ African Americans (whatever the choice of words is today) ever since it was created EXCEPT for convincing blacks that it's the WHITE's fault for their lack of success.
It is a worthless organization that has helped keep racism alive.
Excuses, excuses, excuses. That should be their motto.
And now, they want to take away the National anthem!?!?

If you don't like it here, go back to your ancestral country. I'll pitch in for your one-way ticket, because I'm sick and tired of you trying to ruin this great country.

Keep giving that entity its social do and this will never end. Ignore it, put it in a corner with a dunce hat and eventually, it will shut up and behave.

That's an accurate description of the REAL meaning of the verse.

The tunnel-visioned complainers, though, insist that the word "slave" refers exclusively and forever to forebears of American people of African decent, those ancestors who toiled a lifetime for little else than bare sustenance and produced generations of those in the same circumstances. Ironically, it can be argued that a highly disproportionate percentage of those in living generations remain slaves, slaves of a government that provides sustenance without return, slaves of a culture that bemoans yet glorifies the captivity, and slaves to a plethora of self-serving "leaders" and organizations to whom the truth is an object to be twisted, renounced or altogether avoided.

This population and all that feed it and feed upon it are self-generating, wallowing in a permanent state of self-pity perpetuated by those who see the profits in bold figures.

You can send some kids to school but you can't make them learn. Just like leading the horse to water...
