Late week Arctic blast may not be the last of the month

Let the games begin…it is now snowing in State College and Altoona in upstate Pennsylvania and the look to winter is suddenly upon us in the Mid-Atlantic region. Low pressure today will head towards the Mid-Atlantic coastline and a cold rain in the I-95 corridor may actually end as a mix of sleet or snow tonight to the north and west of the big cities.

A powerful cold front will arrive with gusty winds on Thursday night and usher in an Arctic blast for Friday and Saturday with the lowest temperatures of the season so far. An overall upper-atmosphere pattern with “high-latitude blocking” is looking increasingly likely for later this month and that could result in more cold air outbreaks for the Mid-Atlantic region by the time Thanksgiving week rolls around.

It is sunny and warm in FL.

It's humid, flat, boring (unless you have a boat) and filled to the brim with old people's, not to mention the eleven million mosquitoes per person, and way too many alligators, cottonmouths and rattlesnakes. Give me four seasons any day.

You obviously never been anywhere in FL other than the everglades. We have a waterfront home on an island, no mosquitos or snakes/alligators. Plenty of young people and home prices have doubled in 6 years. Plenty of million dollar + new construction and no vacant storefronts. But you are so much smarter staying in Salisbury/wicomico county with your 4 season of no jobs/crime/upside down home prices.

You forgot low taxes, no income tax so my annuity is not taxed. My tv bill is 125.00 which includes Wii computer phone all channels I want to watch. It is very cheap to live in Florida. I have a place 3 miles from US number 1 Beach Siesta Key. The sand is white like baby power. Of it is on the gulf side. I will miss the 4seasons but I will enjoy spring.
