In our family we had a third choice. Eat it or else!
Take it or leave it...that is what I remember. However, mom was a good cook so (except for turnips) we took it.
no, it was eat it now (at dinner time) or have it for breakfast /lunch / the next day or whenever you want to eat it
ABSOLUTELY..... best served hot!!!!! You had better clean that plate.....
Ahhh, that's where evening sports practice came in so handy!
liver/onions - EW!!!!!!!!!!!Our chicken nuggets back in the day were frozen TV dinners - made in the oven!!!! Damn, I just disclosed my age bracket!HAHAHAHAHAHA
Our two choices were 1) Eat it, or 2) Sit there until you do.
Also no toys at the table, today it should be no phones!
Take it or leave it at our house too. I always, always left it when it was liver and still do.
