Incident: Assault
Date of Incident: 29 July 2017
Location: 900 Block of Booth Street, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Daris Deshaw Nichols, 35, Salisbury, MD
Narrative: On 29 July 2017 at 10:48 PM, a deputy responded to a reported altercation at a residence in the 900 block of Booth Street. Upon arrival, the deputy met with a female victim who advised that she had been assaulted by Daris Nichols. During the investigation, the deputy observed signs of injury to the victim that corroborated her account.
The deputy attempted to interview Nichols regarding this incident but Nichols declined to even identify himself to the deputy.
The deputy placed Nichols under arrest and transported him to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. Following an initial appearance, the Commissioner detained Nichols on a bond of $2,000.00 in the Detention Center.
Charges: Assault 2nd Degree and Obstruct and Hinder




Incident: Reckless Endangerment / Vandalism
Date of Incident: 30 July 2017
Location: 9000 block of Riverton Road, Mardela Springs, MD
Suspect: Samantha Stewart Mitchell, 29. Hebron, MD
Narrative: On 30 July 2017 at 4:45 PM a deputy responded to a reported incident involving a knife at a residence in the 9000 block of Riverton Road in Mardela Springs. Upon arrival, the deputy met with the resident who stated that a female subject identified as Samantha Mitchell arrived at his residence and accosted him with a knife. The make victim told the deputy that he retreated from Mitchell back towards his residence as Mitchell attempted to chase him. The deputy further learned that after the victim returned inside, Mitchell removed a golf club from her vehicle and smashed out two windows on the victim’s vehicle.
The victim was still on scene as another family member of the victim had removed Mitchell’s keys from her vehicle which prevented her from leaving. The deputy placed Mitchell under arrest and transported her to the Central Booking Unit where she was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. Following an initial appearance, the Commissioner detained Mitchell without bond pending a bond review.
Charges: Reckless Endangerment and Malicious Destruction of Property over $1,000.00

Booth Street???? Look how beautiful those apartment are. The new apartments were suppose to do away with all the crime and low life. What happened?
