Trump threatens to axe Congressional health care payments

President Trump hinted on Monday that he's prepared to end federal government subsidy payments to medical insurers this week, hastening the implosion of the Obamacare system and forcing congressional action.

And he suggested that members of Congress and their staffs should no longer have a sweetheart deal that gives them taxpayer dollars to offset the cost of enrolling in insurance under the Affordable Care Act.

'If ObamaCare is hurting people, & it is, why shouldn't it hurt the insurance companies & why should Congress not be paying what public pays?' the president tweeted.

Trump warned over the weekend that he would end the federal subsidies for medical insurance for Congress and the rest of the country if the Senate didn't act soon.

He should. If the senators are sure they are right, they'll stand by their decision. Senators also have the option of passing a law to fund it. Either way they will have to get off the fence!

Typical Democrat pushed Obama's agenda for everyone to pay their fare share and made themselves exempt. Hypocrites thru and thru. DO it President Trump. Sooner the better.

NO politician would EVER say this, although I'll bet 99% of their constituents would agree with the proposition that they should be subject to the same laws as they impose upon the populace. Many citizens aren't aware of just how MUCH they have exempted themselves from doing or being punished for....
They BELIEVE they are "entitled", but shame Shanika for using welfare.
Believe this --- Shanika could spend the rest of her life on welfare and STILL wouldn't approach what her "representative" steals and cheats in one term.
Trump is, first, a citizen. He sees what slime he is dealing with and wants it gone. The slime resist fiercely and viciously. Keep throwing salt on them.
America loves it.

Send all of Congress and Senate to the health exchanges and let them shop at will. No more "special insurance" just for you!
