Alan Simpson, the former senator from Wyoming, calls senior citizens 'the Greediest Generation' as he compared Social Security to a milk cow with 310 million teats.
Here's a response in a letter from PATTY MYERS in Montana ...I think she is a little ticked off but she also tells it like it is!
"Hey Alan, let's get a few things straight !!!!
1. As a career politician, you have been on the public dole (tit) for FIFTY YEARS.
2. I have been paying Social Security taxes for 48 YEARS (since I was 15 years old. I am now 63).
3. My Social Security payments, and those of millions of other Americans, were safely tucked away in an interest bearing account for
decades until you political pukes decided to raid the account and give OUR money to a bunch of zero losers in return for votes, thus
bankrupting the system and turning Social Security into a Ponzi scheme that would make Bernie Madoff proud.

4. Recently, just like Lucy & Charlie Brown, you and "your ilk" pulled the proverbial football away from millions of American seniors nearing retirement and moved the goalposts for full retirement from age 65 to age, 67. NOW, you and your "shill commission" are proposing to move the goalposts YET AGAIN!
5. I, and millions of other Americans, have been paying into Medicare from Day One, and now "you morons" propose to change the rules of the game. Why? Because "you idiots" mismanaged other parts of the economy to such an extent that you need to steal our money from Medicare to pay the bills.
6. I, and millions of other Americans, have been paying income taxes our entire lives, and now you propose to increase our taxes yet again. Why?Because you "incompetent bastards" spent our money so profligately that you just kept on spending even after you ran out of money. Now, you come to the American taxpayers and say you need more to pay off YOUR debt. To add insult to injury, you label us "greedy" for calling "bullshit" to your incompetence.
Well, Captain Bullsh!t, I have a few questions for YOU:
1. How much money have you earned from the American taxpayers during your pathetic 50-year political career?
2. At what age did you retire from your pathetic political career, and how much are you receiving in annual retirement benefits from the American taxpayers?
3. How much do you pay for YOUR government provided health insurance?
4. What cuts in YOUR retirement and healthcare benefits are you proposing in your disgusting deficit reduction proposal, or as usual, have you exempted yourself and your political cronies?
It is you, Captain Bullshit, and your political co-conspirators called Congress who are the "greedy" ones. It is you and your fellow nutcase thieves who have bankrupted America and stolen the American dream from millions of loyal, patriotic taxpayers.
And for what? Votes and your job and retirement security at our expense, you lunk-headed leech.
That's right, sir. You and yours have bankrupted America for the sole purpose of advancing your pathetic political careers. You know it, we know it, and you know that we know it.
And you can take that to the bank, you miserable son of a bitch.
NO, I did not stutter!
P.S. And stop calling Social Security benefits "entitlements." WHAT AN INSULT!! I have been paying in to the SS system for 48 years! "It's my money" - give it back to me the way the system was originally designed and stop patting yourself on the back like you are being generous by doling out these monthly checks!

Nailed it!
This letter should be read out loud to the full Congress with full TV coverage by all networks! Shame on them!,,
Indeed!
Should be PSA daily.
Send this wonderful lady a extra check or so from my SS account.
Absolute truth
I hate this evil government for all of these reasons plus the phony wars for profit. They are murderers and everyone of us should wake up and smell the Facism.
OMG, absolutely love it and she has it soooo right. And yes, 6:12 AM, you are also sooo right, really wish that would happen.
Right on! Their generosity to those who were able to work but didn't and taking our SS payments for use elsewhere is exactly why the system is in trouble today.
Politicians mismanaged the $$. And let's not forget all the fraud still going on that is wasting millions if not billions of taxpayers' dollars everyday. This is also why term limits is necessary. No politician should make a career out of representing us and collecting retirement with benefits at our expense for the rest of their life.
I agree with 6:12 AM, this is exactly how many of us "deplorables" feel. I would love to know, statistically, just how many folks who benefited from entitlements robbed from our SS accounts went on to stellar careers and actually made something of themselves. I daresay we would be shocked at the total failure.
Truly America!
The BIG VOTE is next November!!!!!!!!!!!!
Next time, don't beat around the bush - say what you really mean!
Well said. I love people who write so eloquently.
I am concerned as well, I'm 55 and have been paying into ssc since age 15. I also work for the State and pay 100 every two weeks into the state retirement system and have been doing this for the last 10 years. I'm at least 10 years from retirement, and I am worried that there won't be anything left when I retire. I am considered the baby bust generation. The generation that follows the boomers. They are certainly entitled to their money, but because of government mismanagement, I feel once this generation passes, there won't be anything left for the rest of us who have paid all their lives.
;-)
Patty Myers you absolutely nailed it. Good job.
TERM LIMITS !!!
Only the voting american people should vote for the compensations afforded to Congress. They should have no power to increase their own benefits. When a draft for Obamacare is pushed it should also retroactively revoke all of the Congressional benefits until they can reach a deal that they themselves are also apart of. No huge pensions, they get SS like the rest of us. No free lifetime health care, they are included in the health care plan we are supposed to abide by.
The Federal Government raided the Social Security Fund because it spent all the money it had and O'Malley raided the State Employees Pension Fund for the same reason. If the State Employee Pension fund goes dry it is because of the BILLIONS that O'Malley stole from the State Employees.
Amen Sister. Vote all incumbents out of office. Bring back the Term Limits as an issue.
