Congress should call off its August recess and seriously get down to the business of reforming healthcare and putting tax cuts in place, top economist Larry Kudlow told Newsmax TV.
"The economy is kind of ambiguous and ambivalent . . . Business investment is not moving," Kudlow, a CNBC senior contributor, told host Steve Malzberg on Thursday. "And to me that means we should be much more urgent. Really light a fire under our efforts to get business tax cuts.
"Get the corporate rate down to 15 percent . . . and the repatriation of the cash overseas, American cash overseas. Boom, boom, boom."
But to achieve that, Capitol Hill must be percolating through the rest of the summer.
