The PNC Bank Robber did in fact hang himself at WCDC and was pronounced dead at around 6:30 PM. He was a Wicomico County employee with the roads division. More to come...

Best possible outcome. He was sentenced to 18 years in prison in 2002 for robbery, but due to liberal policies he was out to rob the PNC Bank. More trash from the west side of the Chesapeake who decided he liked Salisbury.

Is it just me ...or is that pretty fast.

Roads division? Definitely misinformed

He had only been out of prison for a month after serving 20 plus yrs. Probably couldn't stand the thought of going back. Poplar Hill alumni.

He was also just released from the pre release unit that was just closed down. After doing a long sentence for the same type of crimes.

Do we know a name?

Sad. He was a excellent worker for the taxpayer. To many demons bottled up and set free. R.I.P. Earl.

What liberal policies kept him out of prison??!

How does this happen? Aren't they required to do a check frequently?

And a biker manslaughter.

Yawn lib.

Isn't there a background check for a government job?

Rest easy earl

Look at this guy on case search - all of his crimes were in the Baltimore area but when he was released from ECI he stayed here! I thought I was told that they returned people back to their homes when they were released? Thank you to the State for placing this guy in our area

Ashame this had to happen. Earl was a good worker inside the prison. It reminds me of Shawshank Redemption where the inmate Brook could not handle today's society after years of incarceration and offed himself. R.I.P.

9:45 At this point does it even matter? Liberals are the blame for everything.

Do sad, Salisbury you have a WHOLE new subculture of people from the western shore that are heriloin addicts that now choose to calk Salisbury home. Go down by 540 riverside drive any given day from 10-12 and check out all candidates doing outpatient therapy. This is the fastest growing business in wicomico county, bet your lunatic mayor didn't release that statistic in any of his ridiculous rants

Bet the command staff pins this on officers there. Even if they did there job or not

10:55 Give it a rest. The GOP can't even repeal obamacare. They are starting to look foolish.

He is in Heaven now.

O'malley's mandatory early release. Liberals do this to reduce prison populations so they can say less people are in prison so their low information supporters then equate this to crime being down.

This is what ECI Correctional Officers have to deal with everyday. Get them some help and more money.

ECI prisoners are returned where they were sentenced. But there's no law that says they cannot live where they want once they have served their sentence. They simply return to the shore on their own.

JOE
I am watching WBOC this am on Sunday and all they said how he was arrested NOTHING ABOIT THE HANGING ....more cover up by WBOC and FAKE DAY.

Don't forget Gov. Hogan is getting ready to release 4,000 inmates that are serving sentences for drug crimes so it's not just liberal policy. Our great Governor that everybody so highly approves of is doing some mighty liberal things these days. Anything for some of that Baltimore City, PG County vote in the election next year.

Your right, the Command staff is at fault. They point to the over work line officers. After being forced to working 2-4, 16 hour days a week. People will make mistakes. It the Command staff would hire enough officers. This would not happen. But the one in charge made a statement about the officers. There is a thin line between Officers and Inmates. Try working for him.

WBOC Broadcast at 11:00pm last night (5-1/2 hours after he died) didn't even mention he had committed suicide. Crappy reporting on BOC's part. No APP Awards for you toots.

Besides being wrong about the best possible outcome, that was a heartless thing you said.

After being handed everything for so long, I would imagine it would be impossible to get off you butt and do it yourself. You aren't going to be woken up and driven to all your specialist appointments that you don't have to pay for. Your personal doctor, nurse and pharmacy will no longer be where you live for free every day. You won't get rides to your dentist and have any of your chronic care needs, like HIV, HEP C or anything else taken care of for free. You will get handed enough meds for 30 days and have to go out there and get off your a@@ and take care of yourself. Get to the Drs on your resources list, here is a bus schedule, get to work on time. Take care of business like the rest of us do, and, by the way, get to SS and fill out your forms if you want it paid for and good luck with that too. Be ready to have to figure it out, pay for it, and put up with government crap like the rest of us. No wonder he hung himself. He probably didn't even know where to start after all those years.
As far as a job for the roads. He probably got that on work release while still in prison. Cheap labor but a JOB to start giving back and stop being a leach to taxpayers.

That's bs, they came up with early mandatory releases because prisons are overloaded with inmates with non-violent crimes. This wouldn't even apply to him as his crimes were considered violent......get you facts straight. And it was Governor Larry Hogan. But better programs were placed to help these inmates change their life, it's up to them to take advantage and apply it. Unfortunately not all do. Stop blaming everyone and everything else....bottom line....this is what he chose for himself!!! Sad, but very true.

Amen!!!! Anyone who has ever worked in the prison can appreciate!

Thank you. I couldn't have said it better myself.
