Kasowitz is mistaken re NYT stories on Comey memos. We never quoted memos prior to Trump's 5/12 tweet re tapes; 1st story doing so was 5/16

J. Edgar Comey, the leaker, has lost All credibility. he is vindictive and was trying to cover his butt...Comey knew all along the president was NOT being investigated and just simply wouldn't state that publically. what a jerk. worked WITH Lynch to Hid Clinton's SINS, but wouldn't help the president by stating the TRUTH. a political hack who lies, distorts, and is a narcissist...he needed to be fired. glad he's gone and the truth about him has been exposed.
Yes they did. They first stated quoting the memo on the 11th. Maybe the first story that mentions the memo was on the 16th but they started quoting from it on the 11th. The lawyer is 100 percent correct.
Comey said NYT was fake news.
Maybe the failing NY Times didn't actually quote the memos as in verbatim but they were reporting the same exact gist of the memos on May 11.
It's obvious what happened. Comey was fired on the 9th. He or someone for him then started leaking to the NY Times. That was the article on the 11th. The President tweeted in response to these leaks Comey better hope there aren't tapes of the conversation. Comey then in an attempt to try and prove he was telling the truth then leaked the actual memo.
NYT is tweet here is false. There's been traces of his memos dating all the way back to the beginning of March actually. They have peppered many stories with his renditions of what Trump allegedly said to him.
Once again, the NYT is trying to cover their asses because they know they're in some potential serious trouble as the publishing of classified information is also a crime and is punishable with fines and jail time.
Trump's private attorney Marc Kasowitz even stated in his presser on Thursday after the hearing about the March timetable, so nice try on the NYT's part, but they've already been busted.
