Mexico Joins The Legal Battle Against Anti-Sanctuary City Law

Mexico filed an affidavit Monday in support of a lawsuit against the implementation of a Texas law to punish sanctuary cities and allow police officers to inquire about the immigration status of someone they have arrested or detained.

The Mexican government said in a statement that the law could increase racial discrimination and create an environment of persecution.

The statement said that the number of calls to the center for information and assistance for Mexicans in Texas in May and June increased 678 percent compared to the year prior. This is reflexive of the uncertainty and “anguish” that the Mexican community in Texas has felt due to the law.

Mexico should have to start paying for the cost of the crimes their citizens commit here in the United States. They should pay us back for the welfare collected by their citizens and for the unpaid hospital bills of their citizens. We should also charge a tax on all the money sent home by their citizens.

Mexico has what stake in this? Please remind us.

They don't want them back. They can't afford them and they send all their money back to Mexico.

Mexico doesn't even want their own people.

Doubt Mexico has legal standing to file a brief.

They certainly have an interest in what transpires since repatriation of their citizens who are here illegally will have a ripple effect south of the Rio Grande.

Mexico stands to lose a major influx of American dollars if this goes through! cut off the money that's the best start!! gets people's attention doesn't it!!

And we care what the hell Mexico says? When you are part of the problem, you have no say.....UNLESS you bring a solution to the table.

No solution - NO SAY!

If Mexico did a better job in their government, they would not have so many coming to US. Send them all back and fight to fix their own problems and stay out of US business.
