Was the trooper speeding like they always do when I see them on 50? Whenever I've been on 50 going 60mph, the troopers blow by me like I'm standing still. No lights. No sirens. Just need to speed. If so, this was probably a really ugly accident.

The at fault driver was dwi.

Absolutely NOT THE POINT, 1114. Reading comprehension. Reading comprehension.

Stop complaining. Just say thanks for being out there handling all your problems on a daily basis. They speed because people like you complain it takes to long to get to your parking complaint, panhandling complaint, kids playing basketball complaint etc etc etc

They speed because nobody is going to give them a ticket for it. Worcester County deputies are worse than the MSP

MSP cruisers are painted to blend in. There were articles about it when they switched to the two tone paint jobs. Older lady, 7pm, probably coming home after dinner. 2 drinks can put you at .08. I'd sue to get crash investigation results such as his speed prior to the crash and immediately before the crash. Sun getting low at that time too. There are a lot of factors to be considered.

441 whats the difference between his speed prior to the crash, and his speed immediately before the crash? in case you didnt know, prior to and before kinda have the same meaning. but anyways, it doesnt matter how fast he was going. if she was drunk and came into his lane, its her fault. but sue away liberal. im sure msp is worried about you.

4:41. wrong, it takes a lot more to get you to a .08. Speed is irrelevant in this collision, failing to yield right of way is what caused this.

she has a history of hard drinking/partying. give me a break with the bs that it was the trooper's fault. if she hit you or your family who's fault would it be then??? this is not her first DUI, look her up before you blame someone else for her drunken stupidity.

If he was traveling at 70 mph a mile before the accident and 69 at the time of the accident (immediately before). Add to the mix that the cars are painted in such a manner to be less noticeable.

In any event, all cross overs on rt. 50 that are not controlled by lights should be closed. It is event that too many people can't cross the road without getting hit - 60 ft road for example.

6:46, I'm sorry that I offended you and that your only way to deal with it is to call someone a liberal. It is clear that you lack enough education to understand the the factors being discussed. MD is one of only four states that have contributory negligence. Contributory negligence means that if you contributed to your accident in any way, you have no right to claim damages from the other driver, even if that driver was the primary cause of the accident. Speeding is contributory.

Trooper probably texting or on computer rather than watching the road. See them all the time. I got a big truck and can see right in their cars when the blow by me on 50.

Considering most Troopers cars blend into the backgrounds they drive fast in, considering the troopers high rate of speed wo lights on, considering reflex reaction of the older woman....spells accident.... They should be required to utlize their lights and possible siren if they are above the posted speed limit. Fortunately, the older woman was not killed by the speeding trooper.

I came to read the remarks, knowing the trooper would be responsible, by supposition. You didn't let me down. As usual, you fools know precisely what transpired, without being there. Next you will be lambasting the judge's pronouncement, without being in the courtroom, when the case is tried. Unless you are on scene when an event transpires, like me, you know diddly squat about the actual specifics.

11:01 was correct. If you see a trooper on Rt. 50 the chances are real high that he/she will be speeding with out emergency equipment activated. The Motor Vehicle Code requires lights and/or siren if they are going to speed. If the trooper was speeding under MD law that is contributory negligence probably as a matter of law. It would be a total bar to recovery by the state or the trooper individually.

I know that people can't cross Rt. 50 without getting in accidents. Close the cross overs. Make people cross at lights. "But, I'm in a hurry and ain't got no time to to drive 3-5 more minutes and wait for light to change."

Police haters 235? So you've never had a trooper blow by you going 90mph? Please. Everyone has watched them speed down the road with no emergency lights. Incidentally a person can blow DUI with one drink or even a food item made with alcohol so please spare us the Dudley Do Righy shit. It's boring and passé. 🥃 Anyone?

You have to be kidding throw her in jail. THIRD TIME MORONS

Anonymous said...

Funny you say "if". There was no "if" she was drunk. No "if" in not the first time. How about "if" she kills your family member

That woman should've been busted for having too many passengers in her vehicle. Sounds like a clown car. All these commenters speaking in definitives as if they were in the car with her when she got busted. What was she driving? An 18-Wheeler? Party in the bus 🚌?

Charged with DUI, not convicted.

My friend seen it. Cop hit rear end of the Toyota.

So you people seriously think Troopers are not allowed to travel above the posted speed limits? When on a call they can travel however fast they need to travel to safely get to where they need to be. They are also trained to read info on their computers and talk to dispatch while driving. They are not perfect but I'll never understand all the Police Hate here.

It is very easy to find out if this officer was on a call or not. How can you be trained to drive while not looking at the road? You are too funny or brainwashed. LEO are required by law to utilize lights/sirens when responding to a call. I'm not a cop hater but have witnessed too many instances of MSP in state vehicles off duty (no uniform) traveling well above the speed limit on rt. 50 with children in the vehicle. There is no way they are responding to a call.
