You're right. Kennedy wouldn't recognize the current radicals running the DNC into the ground. It's not his type of party anymore. He would probably be classified as a Republican now days. Economic Common Sense! ] Either way, what he said is exactly true. He did it. Reagan did it. Trump is working on doing it. No further explanation needed.
For the longest time I did not like JFK, but I really do respect him these days after tolerating the anti-white, anti-Confederate, anti-American, illegal alien and Muslim loving Democrats that we are dealing with these days.
What most Democrats will tell you is tax cuts will reduce revenues flowing into government treasuries. What they fail to do is remember that one of their heroes successfully did it with great success.
The problem today is government is designed grow at a rate greater then amount of revenues flowing in no matter what the tax rate is.
As a conservative I was not terribly impressed with JFK either. I have read some history regarding his policies and his philandering. However, he did possess a decorum that is gravely missing in the DNC today. In large part I blame the Clintons for the fall from grace and the likes of John Podesta and Debbie Wasserman Schultz who will stoop at nothing. Despicable is a kind word for the DNC today.
Under Kennedy, the top marginal tax rate was 91%. He was advocating to lower the rate to a "more sensible" 65%. Compare that to where we are now at 39%.
Thank you. These old farts on here always bemoan what sorry state America is in and yearn to return to their rose-tinted view of their youth but are unwilling to recognize they'd have to shell out a hell of a lot more.
@ 10:05 They resent having to shell out more to pay for worthless people that should be working and paying into the system that should be taking care of retirees who paid into the system their whole lives.
Like most liberals you fail to remember that back then there were a hell of a lot more exemption and deduction that brought the percentages actually paid down to close to what is paid today.
Mortgage interest was not the only interest that could be deducted.

The best welfare is a good paying job! Ronald Reagan
Really 10:59? What did I get wrong?

You got it right the first time.
Everything always gets worse and worse under the illuminated ones' management of our lives.
Kennedy is Democrats Camelot because he allowed government workers to unionize.
