Amazon has lowered its free shipping minimum back down to $25, the latest policy change amid a free-shipping battle with Walmart. The change seems to have been made sometime last week, but it went unreported until today. BestBlackFriday alerted us to the change.
This is the second time this year that Amazon has lowered its free shipping minimum. In February, Amazon lowered the minimum from $49 to $35. Now that it’s down to $25, the minimum has returned to the place it sat at for more than a decade, before Amazon starting raising it back in 2013.

Now imagine if Walmart would just pay its employees a decent wage we'd have thousands perhaps millions off welfare
Maybe if walmart employees were more than walking baby factories that spend more time on their phones and talking to each other than focusing on their jobs and customer service.
Jerks
The dirty little secret is that Walmart jacked up its pricing to cover the free shipping. A purchase that I used to make went from $35 to $64 as soon as free shipping hit.
It's always a painful experience to shop at Walmart. I go there only as a last resort because of this.
But now Amazon charges taxes on ALL purchases in Maryland, so now it's easier to just go to the store and get what you're looking for. Amazon is losing it's base. Jet.com still doesn't charge taxes.
Thanks for sharing Jet.com! Walmart online is easy ordering, site to store could use some improvement, but hard to compete with Amazon customer service.
No problem 1051. Ordered from Jet.com and they've become my go-to instead of Amazon after Bezos started his politic crap. They ship just as fast, no Prime membership BS. They even undercut Amazon prices on many items and have a 'fresh' section, too, where you can order groceries.
Amazon did not start charging you tax. The state of MD did. Amazon fought several court battles to avoid collecting taxes for the states. MD will go after Jet.com to collect tax if they start generating enough revenue.
130 Absolutely incorrect. Amazon issued a statement a month or two ago that it now charges State Taxes in all states except for states who don't have state taxes on purchases. Please DO YOUR HOMEWORK!
Tired of commenters coming on here thinking they know everything and talk out of their hats. I heard about this months ago that Amazon started charging taxes everywhere. Jet isn't charging taxes on orders, so guess it's not the state. I just got an order from them last week. A humidifier and guess what? They didn't charge taxes. Do you research 130. You are in error.
