Report: 25% Of Americans Won’t Have A Traditional TV Subscription By 2018
TV viewers have been snipping the cord and freeing themselves from traditional TV subscriptions offered by satellite and cable companies for years, so it may come as no surprise that the flood of customers fleeing to streaming video shows no signs of easing.
We disabled our cable service many months ago, got a ROKU, and an antenna. One of the best financial moves we have made. Sick and tired of the rising cable fees and cost that increase every few months. This was one of the biggest reasons we left. I still get coupons to return to our prior cable service in the mail always promising set rates for a specific time span. They make good tinder for the wood stove.
Question for people who have cut the cord. What do people do for internet? See Comcast chargers a crazy high fee if you don't include tv with the internet. They basically end up throwing in the tv with the internet for a nominal fee. I would like to escape them for internet - but there is no other cheaper and viable option.
5:49, I did the same two years ago. I have Roku, with sling tv and HBO now. I get to see what I want and I am not paying over 100 dollars per month for cable tv! The future is in streaming video. Comcast is already working on increasing internet fees to combat their loss in cable revenue. Only hope there will be more competition for internet service providers in the future.
Being with Verizon for many years with their triple bundle has become so expensive. Also wanting to loose our landline for lack of use, I am at a dead end for getting internet and TV. Direct TV advertises that they offer it but when I called I was told it was not available to us. We are already with Direct TV. Help me with that!

Verizon (or possibly another competitor) hotspot? Not super duper fast but gets the job done.
Blue surf or something like that
