The suspect is now in custody.
The incident began at about 9:30 a.m. when police began chasing a vehicle near the Library of Congress and ended about a half-mile away when the vehicle was stopped by a road barricade and police fired shots.
The suspect hit police cruisers and civilian vehicles before being trapped and apprehended, Fox News is told.

Fox News showed her photo fro the scene of the crime and gave identified her by name but the other news stations including the locals haven't shown the photos and said her identity hasn't been released by the police.
What's up with this?
Does her being butt naked give any possible clues as to why the police were in pursuit?
