Released by journalist Tarek Fatah and published by the Daily Mail, the gruesome footage shows a woman in a pink headscarf kneeling before a crowd that appears to be mostly made up of men. A masked man strokes a cane across her back to the cheers of the crowd before administering the vicious beating. After a few strokes, the now-screaming woman collapses in pain.
The violence doesn’t stop.
Eventually, the woman, who appears to be unconscious, is carried off the platform by paramedics and two women volunteers.
As the Daily Mail notes, the video is eerily similar to another clip released last week, showing a second Indonesian woman publicly enduring 26 lashes for having sex outside of marriage, a crime under Sharia law. (For those who may not know, Indonesia is home to the largest Muslim population in any given country.)
Of course, these videos weren’t met with marches in the streets of Washington, D.C., nor did the Twittersphere light up with hashtagged demands that President Trump end the violence against women in Muslim countries that impose harsh penalties for any female resident who steps outside their strict religious regulations. "Women's March" organizers were notably silent in the face of such horrible victimization, probably too busy organizing their upcoming strike against the debunked wage gap myth or something.

I can't get over the women in this country that have all the rights in the world. Protesting for Muslims and Sharia Law where women have no rights and are treated like animals under Sharia Law. Not only are they beaten in public streets but sometimes even killed, but these illiterate geniuses in the U.S. still protest for Muslim rights and Sharia Law. Also they kill homosexuals and throw them off of rooftops. But it seems the LBGT people still protest with them. If any of our U.S. millennials had a clue they would realize that in the U.S. they already have the most rights and freedoms than in any other country in the world.

For those that protest the beating of women in other countries, are you the same ones that defend a parent's "right" to beat their children in America? You know, like with belts and switches. Y'all are actually disgusting people. Just because another country has less equality than the US, it does not mean that women should not still fight for their rights. All these people bring up the blight of other countries in comparison to the US but somehow never do anything about it. Calling all muslims derogatory names is disgusting and shameful. We are all humans no matter our race, religion, or sexuality. Growing up a woman, we are constantly taught to defend ourselves, but why can't men be taught to not harm women? Who knew people could be so absolutely disgusting.
