Several members of the Metropolitan Police Department of DC were observed wearing pink “pussy hats” in support of the Soros-linked anti-Trump “Women’s March” that gripped the capitol following Donald Trump’s inauguration.
The photos, obtained by The Daily Caller, appear to show several police officers assisting people with passing through the crowd of protestors while another group of officers wearing pink “pussy hats” were taking pictures with protestors.
The hats were knitted and distributed as part of the Pussyhat Project, which sought to call attention to the “mistreatment” of women in our society.

The DC area consists primarily of leftists in the first place. Between, the crime, corruption, and welfare state of the area, this does NOT surprise me at all!
Right after posing, they had a news conference demanding the people "respect" them.

More eastern shore logic. Support police writing bible verses on their squad cars but god forbid they wear a hat. What you have here is positive interaction between police officers and their community. You need to grow up if a hat hurts your feelings.

Can't fire them since they are under staffed by 20%, can't suspend either, same reason - understaffed! Chief Lanier had difficulties not with just recruitment (with strict prior drug use disqualifiers), but retention as well as resourcing.
Then those who remain, well end up getting pictures of them taken for the world to see. Professionalism and common sense NO MORE!

You can fire them. Call in mutual aid from surrounding districts like they do with the fire trucks. Call in the National Guard until they get up on staffing.
What's sad about the DC police department I know it was about 15 or 20 years ago and someone did a study and found out that over 100 DC police officers were hired with a criminal record. Apparently hired with no background checks. Wouldn't surprise me if it was still going on.
