Great white shark spotted off coast of Ocean City, Md.

The crew of a fishing boat accidentally caught and released a great white shark off the coast of Ocean City last weekend.

Dustin Lorah, captain of the Over-Board, tells local media that the shark was caught Saturday about 11 miles off the coast.

The crew estimated the shark to be about 7 feet long and 150 pounds in weight, and probably not fully grown.

This is not a rarity. Commercial boats catch the fairly frequently. In 1984 while recreational shark fishing we caught one. At that time it was supposedly only the second one caught recreationally.

150 lbs can't be correct. 1,500lbs is more like it.
