Ohio 'heartbeat' abortion bill heads to governor's desk

An Ohio bill that would ban abortions once a fetal heartbeat can be detected is headed to the governor's desk.

Lawmakers in the Republican-controlled state House voted to approve the so-called "heartbeat bill" Tuesday night after it passed in the Senate earlier in the day, clearing the way for what would be one of the nation's most stringent abortion restrictions.

The legislation would prohibit most abortions as early as six weeks into pregnancy after the first detectable heartbeat.

Gov. John Kasich, an abortion opponent, has previously voiced concerns about whether such a move would be constitutional. He has not said whether he plans to sign the measure.

12 weeks a heartbeat can be detected. End of first trimester, which was the latest women could get abortions initially after the passage of Roe vs. Wade. And that was the reason.

Many poor souls lost due to this demonic pratice of killing babies in the womb. Satan loves it God cries and Democrats applaude and cheer it on.

Go beat your head against the bible, 9:36. People don't even take care of the children they have for the most part and you want hundreds/thousands more running around that will need to be fed, clothed and educated with tax dollars. Sounds like a good plan to me. Go ahead, throw adoption out there. How many adopted kids have you raised?

9:58 p.m. This is about killing babies and it appears you are placing money before human souls. Pathetic! That's a part of what's wrong with our society.

6:25 AM - This isn't about killing babies, it's about women being in control of their own health care.

If your daughter gets raped, becomes pregnant and has a risky pregnancy (mother will die if baby is carried to term), what's your solution? Let your daughter die and the baby of a rapist live?

This is a medical issue and those who do not believe in Christianity should not be compelled to love their lives by another persons religion.
