Many For-Profit Colleges Get More Than 90% Of Funding From Federal Government

For-profit colleges operate under the so-called “90/10 Rule,” which states that a school can’t receive more than 90% of its revenue from the federal government. However, there’s a loophole that does notcount certain military-related education funds — like the GI Bill — against that 90%, meaning these schools can go over that 90% threshold without violating the 90/10 Rule. And according to a new report, hundreds of for-profit schools are indeed getting nearly every dollar of their funding from taxpayers.

And this should end under the Trump Administration. Let them pay their own way. The same with advertising for big oil companies and chemical companies, etc.

You actually believe these colleges began receiving federal funding during the Obama Administration? You're a special kind of stupid, aren't you?

Of course they do!!!! Where does the Federal Gov't receive their $$$? Of course from American Citizens via taxes for years and years.

Now, where do I submit my protest paperwork? I don't believe we all are getting the most bang for our bucks "contributed" to the Fed! Too many fat cats living off of us!

Then why are they allowed to receive tax dollars if they are a for profit institution / business? Does that mean businesses are being discriminated against since they are a for profit business? If businesses are not being allowed the same privilege then the Colleges should not be allowed that privilege?
