Hogan Says Relationship With Trump Will Be "Excellent"

In mid-June, Larry Hogan was asked by a reporter if he would vote for Donald Trump. The governor of Maryland's response: "No, I don't plan to," per The Washington Post.

As the presidential campaign went on, Hogan's stance didn't change. On Election Day, the Republican leader of Maryland wrote in his father, Larry Hogan Sr.

Now, Hogan, who spoke with two other Republican governors about how to work with President-elect Donald Trump, is optimistic and says the relationship between him and the incoming administration will be "excellent."

"I'm very close to the Vice President-elect (Mike Pence), the chief of staff (Reince Priebus) and many of the people he appointed to the cabinet," Hogan said. "I think we will have an excellent relationship."

Hogan's going to get what he deserves. He was a coward.

RINO - Republican in name only. Better than all of the left wingnuts in the general assembly but not an ounce of conservative courage like Trump.

The only thing that disgust me more than a rino....is a lying rino. And I know im not the only one. PS...your still not doing anything for the middleclass of this state!

Whatever you think of Governor Hogan, just remember it could have been Anthony Brown sitting in the Governor's office.

Typical comment from a politician.
They lie to "go with the flow"

aleast with POS Brown we know what to expect. One would think when someone has been given a second chance at life he'd be embolden to do the right thing for those he promised...instead we'v only gotten lied to, pow wowing with the thugs that have strapped MD citizens to poverty via taxes and regulations and destroyed the economy.

Maryland needs Hogan. I understand his politics and hope for the future of this State, he is re-elected in 2018.
Thank you Governor!

It will be next election because these DAF shorebillies won't vote for Hogan and will then complain about 12 more years of democrat governors.

Yeah, maybe he does have an excellent relationship...but I won't be voting for Hogan the next time around. Like another Maryland politician before him (Gilchrist) Hogan has show his true colors when he would not support the party that he ran on, and his party's candidate for president. He has admitted that he actually voted against his party's candidate. This will not be forgotten in the next Republican primary. Like I wrote to Gilchist before his defeat in his last primary, "You better change your affiliation to Democrat if you want to keep your seat", because of his votes in Congress supporting the Democrat agenda, and voting against the Bush legislation proposals. Bush's proposals passed anyway, without Gilcrist's support, but Gilchrist lost the next primary as a result of his votes with the democrats that were against Bush. I am now predicting Hogan will not have the support of the Maryland Republicans that supported him in his first election, and he will not make it to the next general election, just like what happened to Gilchrist. When you win in Maryland as a Republican, you better damn sure make sure that you don't alienate the ones that put you on the ticket to begin with. He has virtually ensured he will be a one term governor of Maryland. Then again, that's been the fate of most recent Maryland Republican governors.

Republican or Democrat, you are badly fooled if you think a Governor from either party really cares about the average working citizen.

Good deal 11:36. I won't be either. If I were Don I'd not associate with Hogan in ANY capacity. Hogan is a 'Blue Dog' Republican and doesn't deserve the respect of my vote. He's controlled by the two Mikes and hasn't shown me anything to crow about by it. The mark of a GOOD politician is what he brings home to the constituency. I think he'll bring the Dumbocrat war standard, 'More Tax". Bob Aswell

I hope VA gets the new FBI headquarters and the redskins. Trump should make Hogan pay for his disrespect.

Y'all ain't the brightest bulbs but you sure is entertaining. Since 1960, there have only been 3 republican governors including Hogan. The disgraced Spiro Agnew and Ehrlich are the other two.
Agnew had 2 years and Ehrlich had 4 years. I'll do the math for you, 48 years of democratic governors. Go ahead, run Hogan out of office!! You sure is smart. Odds are you will not have another republican governor for many years to come.

Wow 7:45 you sure out yourself with that lame attempt to call those of us who won't vote for slogan again rednecks.

I'm sure YOU are the sharpest tool in the shed, you probably tell yourself that every time you walk by a mirror.

Let me explain something to you, and I will type real slow as to not lose you, I voted for Hogan. I will NEVER vote for him again.

Hogan is a coward. End of story.

And you my friend, are one too for supporting his cowardice.

The only pull Hogan has now is that he is friends with VP Pence or so he says. If he is such good friends does that mean he didn't vote for his friend.....or did he?

9:31 I'm no longer a legal resident of MD even thought I still have properties here and spent 5 months a year here. I vote in a red state and don't pay MD income tax. Again, you is so smart! LOL Enjoy many years of having a democrat governor, bubba.
