University of Chicago Accidentally Proves That Gun Control Laws Don’t Work

The city of Chicago has some of the toughest and strictest gun control laws on the books out of all the major cities in the entire country.

But every day the newspapers and TV stations of Chicago fill the airwaves with devastating reports showing innocent Americans being murdered by criminals carrying guns.

The city is a shining example of how gun control doesn’t stop criminals from obtaining and using guns to commit robbery and murder.

Instead of allowing law abiding Americans the chance to easily acquire a firearm for self-defense, politicians and public officials in Chicago call for harsher anti-gun measures almost daily.

The anti-gun crowd refuses to accept reality and the fact that criminals don’t obey gun control laws. They would rather disarm law abiding citizens who accept and obey the law.

A recent study by the University of Chicago proved this point after conducting a study to figure out how criminals in Chicago were acquiring their firearms.

Whoops! We didn't mean the study to say that.

The last time I checked there are NO gun stores in the city limits of Chicago. So where are they getting the guns? And where are they getting the ammo to shoot once they have guns?

There is a video on youtube of a former gang member who answers these questions.

In certain neighborhoods, high crime areas crates of guns including ammo for the guns are dropped off. In alleys for example.

He goes on to make a good argument for this. Enough to give pause to make some think it could be true. The video is easy to find with a search.

Didn't click More but quibble with one word on the first page. That word is 'innocent'.

Don't get me wrong. Some of the Chicago victims are truly innocent. Wrong place, wrong time, bystander, not involved in a dispute, etc. Many are too young to be armed.

Because so much of the carnage is young blacks killing other young blacks, generally with a gang or drugs somewhere in the mix, most of the city and greater society silently view it as bad guys killing each other and approve, while hoping that the truly innocent are spared.

The killings are concentrated in poorer sections which gives a false sense of security to those more wealthy. If they felt they couldn't walk to their curb to get the paper or mail they'd be on the authorities more vigorously, and might be more interested in personal protection.

There are bad guys everywhere but in states and cities where Joe citizen can choose personal protection, Joe is less likely to be targeted as a victim, and in a position to protect himself, his family and the innocent bystanders until and while the cops are called.

The Framers intentionally gave Joe citizen that right to decide in the 2nd Amendment. They were wiser and more in touch with human nature and government abuses than politicians intent on throttling and controlling Joe's options.

These are the kind of people who, when the window is open in winter and it's cold inside, blame the weather.
