Rare Superman comic book sold for nearly $1 million

The rare copy of a comic book was expected to sell for $750,000, but sold for $956,000 instead.

 A rare copy of a Superman comic book sold for nearly $1 million this week.
The 1938 comic book marks the first appearance of Superman, and is considered a gem among comic book fans, according to Heritage Auctions. It was expected to sell for $750,000 but fetched $956,000.

I remember this one being in a box at my great Aunt's house in box and my brothers and I would read it every time we went there. If I had only known...

Just shows how bad off America is lol When you can sell a comic book for a Mill things must be o.k. for some.

It is just an investment for the buyer. He is betting it can be sold for an even higher amount at a later date.
