QA County Sherrif Press Release ARMED ROBBERY - DEPUTY INJURED.

At 0050 Hours a 911 call was received from subjects at the Court Yard Inn located on RT 213 near Chestertown (QA) reporting an armed robbery involving a gun and knives.

It was reported that the suspects were three African-American males who allegedly took prescription pain medications and a cell phone from the victims and fled in a white Volkswagen passenger car.

A short time later after an attempt to locate broadcast was issued, a Queen Anne’s Deputy observed a white Volkswagen going south on RT 301 north of Centreville.

Backup units were requested and a felony style stop was made. With the possibility of a firearm in the suspect vehicle, additional responding units stopped traffic in the opposite lane for citizen safety.

Hearing the broadcast from the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office regarding the armed robbery in the northern part of the county, Maryland state troopers from the Centreville Barrack responded to assist deputies in their search for the suspects.

Trooper First Class Kyle Morrison, a five-year-veteran, was in a marked 2015 Ford Explorer patrol vehicle following another trooper as they both traveled north on Rt. 301, south of Rt. 305. Both troopers had their emergency lights and sirens activated.

In the interim, deputies located the suspect vehicle traveling south on Rt. 301. In preparation for making a felony stop of the suspects, deputies began to shut down northbound Rt. 301 traffic prior to the location where deputies and other troopers planned to make the stop. Deputies were out of their patrol vehicles and on foot in the roadway.

Without warning, TFC Morrison and the other trooper responding from the south came upon the deputies closing the highway. Both troopers braked suddenly and, due to the wet roadway, TFC Morrison swerved into the median to avoid striking the patrol car in front of him.

Deputy Stephen Creason, a Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office deputy on foot at the scene, saw the approaching patrol cars. It appears that realizing the potential for a collision on the roadway, Deputy Creason moved into the median as TFC Morrison drove into that same location. TFC Morrison struck Deputy Creason with the right front corner bumper and fender of his patrol vehicle.

Deputy Creason was flown by a Maryland State Police helicopter to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center where he is undergoing treatment. Troopers from the Centreville Barrack and the State Police Crash Team investigated the crash, assisted by deputies from the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Office.

The occupants in the Volkswagen, three African-American males and a white female were taken into custody and the vehicle impounded. Detectives responded and began to interview the suspects and victims in the case.

Jalen Lynell Whyte (20) of Grasonville has been charged with Armed Robbery, Theft under $100, 1st Degree Assault, Reckless Endangerment, Conspiracy to commit Robbery and Conspiracy of Possession with intent to distribute CDS.

Devanon Arnet Wilson Jr. (21) of Chester has been charged with Armed Robbery, Theft under $100, 1st Degree Assault, Reckless Endangerment, Conspiracy to commit Robbery and Conspiracy of Possession with intent to distribute CDS.

Sabrina Lynn Pulanco (20) of Grasonville has been charged with Conspiracy to commit Armed Robbery, Theft under $100, Assault and Conspiracy of Possession with intent to distribute CDS.\

All subjects are currently being processed and awaiting an initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner. Search Warrants were issued for the suspect vehicle and the victim’s residence. Several knives were recovered from the Volkswagen but no firearm was recovered.

The robbery investigation is assigned to the Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Unit and is ongoing at this time.

1230 Hours: Just recieved word that Deputy Creason is out of surgery for a broken leg.

African American males go figure. If this had turned into a police shooting they would cover up and lie about being armed and non compliant. This is how the black race rolls anymore. They are pathological liars. They have yet to admit Freddie Gray killed himself.

Good job QAC Sheriff's Office in making the arrest. Wishing the deputy a quick and successful recovery.

Surprised that BLM & NAACP haven't forced 911 & PD's to drop the description of "African American", claiming bias and racism.

It's spelled correctly above. You are trying to connect someone's correct spelling with a misspelled word. No wonder Hillary actually has a chance to win.
