A Philadelphia police union slammed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton Wednesday for inviting the families of black people recently killed by cops.
The Democratic National Convention (DNC) is scheduled to be held next week in Philadelphia. Clinton has invited “Mothers of the Movement” to speak at the second night of the convention. The group consists of the mothers of black men recently killed by police. The Philadelphia Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) said the choice to invite the group was an insult to police.
“[We’re] shocked and saddened by the planned choice of speakers at the upcoming DNC in Philadelphia,” FOP President John McNesby said in a statement. “The Fraternal Order of Police is insulted and will not soon forget that the Democratic Party and Hillary Clinton are excluding the widows, and other family members of Police Officers killed in the line of duty who were victims of explicit, and not implied racism.”

Because the numbers are too small to make any difference in the electorate, she would never invite the widows/widowers, children, parents, brother's and sister's of the fallen officers. It is not "cool" to be a democrat and to be pro-law enforcement. The FOP is absolutely correct, it is an insult to the police.
I think that it would be nice if the police would let their guard down, collectively, this week and allow the protestors into the convention center to protest directly to the attendees. Then when the conventioneers have had enough, spray the protestors with CS gas! This way all those people who claim that they "feel their strife" can actually feel their strife.
I also think that regardless of what the cops do, there will be quite a few more arrests being made this week and I doubt that Hilliary will call the Chief of the Philadelphia PD and thank him for his services.
Just my two cents.

When the police start arresting people at the convention, hope they snatch the candidate too.
They're looking for the anti-cop vote, not the pro-cop vote, and to do that, they have to stir the pot with rhetoric and sob stories, true or not.
Where are the local democrat politicians on this? Quiet as usual. They should be publicly calling out the DNC for this. But they won't. They will go on pretending they support LE. Any democrat who truly supports LE would make a big deal out of this both publicly and loudly.
