‘Fire Selfie’ Arsonist Sentenced to 55 Years in Prison

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — A man who pleaded guilty in February after being accused of setting fire to a Glen Burnie home in a jealous rage and returning to the scene to take selfies has been sentenced to 55 years in prison.

Justin Michael Clum, 26, of Pasadena, was charged with 25 counts, including four of attempted first degree murder, four of attempted second degree murder and several more counts of arson, assault, reckless endangerment and malicious burning.

According to the Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney’s office, Clum and his girlfriend were drinking vodka on a community pier in the early morning hours of July 17, 2015, when Clum learned of a past sexual relationship between his girlfriend and another man.

Is there no such thing as a voice of reason anymore? Someone had to know this guy was a loose cannon. Why his buddies (presumably) coaxed him into retaliation vs just leaving this woman period is a mystery.I have had multiple incidents in my life where I talked friends out of doing harm to others or themselves.I wish I had known him and had run into him before he ruined his whole life.
