Texas Gov. Greg Abbott led the charge in court against President Obama’s amnesty program for illegal aliens. Now, he’s joining the fight on another front, pushing a “convention of the states” proposal that has gained momentum in Obama’s second term as many conservatives attempt to rein in the federal government.
The proposal aims to invoke Article V of the U.S. Constitution to propose new amendments to the founding document.
On Friday, Abbott officially called for just such a convention to seize power from a federal government that is out of control and return it to the states. He called his proposed amendments “The Texas Plan.”

Dave T: Three cheers for this patriot -- Mr. Abbott -- for his efforts to correct this out of control government. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Time for some more states to step up and take this country back.
Could be the first shots of the next civil war! Texas Voluntarily joined the union and they can leave it. If they do, I am sure other free minded states will do the same.
