i agree with the message, but it has no credibility since it has the incorrect usage of the word "your" instead of "you're" which is as important as the original message.

And it's obvious that the author is not well traveled.

Right there with you, 1138, and TWICE in the same sentence!

Think about how it would be if none of those things were true and everyone was absolutely free to do whatever they wanted, as often as they wanted, whenever they wanted, unfettered by rules or regulations of any kind.

125 years ago you could walk or ride a horse to get to town, and you'd be doing it mostly on a dirt road. You could work for pennies a day and have your brains beat in by a company man if you asked for more. You could lose a finger, a hand, a leg, or your life in a work-related accident because of no safety regulations, and your family wouldn't get a penny while you were recovering or in the ground. You could die or become disabled from any one of a dozen diseases that had no cure, and chances are that you'd do it before you reached the age of ten. By the age of 30, you'd probably need dentures, and so would the person you married in the living room of your parents' home ten years before. 125 years ago, your chances of finishing high school were about 1 in 10, and your chances of going to college were one in 100, if that. 125 years ago, nobody was gay so there was no reason for gay rights; or women's rights, or aged people's rights, or anybody's rights. Yes, life was much better then, without any government intervention.

I'll live with the illusion. It isn't perfect, or even acceptable sometimes. It can change for the better, but it doesn't change when people don't make an effort, or leave it completely in someone else's hands.

Md. used to be called the "Free State". You don't hear that much anymore.

Maryland was called the Free State for religious reasons.
