First individual charged out of 17 people who were arrested for violent acts during Trump’s campaign rally.
Luis Fernando Alarcon, a 19-year-old Anaheim man was charged Monday with felony vandalism over $400 and inciting a riot, for his part in the violent protest during a Donald Trump rally in Costa Mesa.
Alarcon was among a group of protesters Thursday night, April 28, who all started marching south on Newport Boulevard, according to LA Times. They were headed toward the freeway, when a highway patrol car managed to block the crowd from entering the freeway. A second officer responded to assist. Police say Alarcon ran toward the second police car, yelling “f—the police” through the car window, then reached into his pocket and threw an object at the patrol car.
