To 1:48 They are, just like every person has who did not come here from another English speaking country. And many of their children will excel in school and will speak English, perhaps, better than you and me. Some of these people have two or more languages now. I wish I could speak more than English.

To 2:26 When our grandparents migrated to the US they had no choice but to learn English. All applications & legal papers where written in English ONLY. Try checking MVA the paperwork is available in aprox. 40 different languages. Also, they wanted to assimilate into our culture not force us into theirs.
