Troopers Investigate Vehicle Crash Involving a School Bus
Blades, DE – Troopers are investigating a vehicle crash that occurred in Blades this morning involving a Seaford School Bus.
The preliminary investigation revealed the incident occurred around 8:28 a.m. today, Thursday, April 7, 2016, as Gabrieala Rojas-Herrara, 42 of Blades, was operating a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer northbound on South Market Street, (US Alt. 13) Blades. Alice S. Collick, 59 of Laurel, was operating 2004 International School Bus westbound on 8th Street and stopped before making a right hand turn onto South Market Street. The bus pulled into the path of the Trailblazer and struck the rear right passenger door and rear fender with its front left bumper. Both vehicles came to a controlled stop in the area of the crash. The bus driver, Alice S. Collick, and 18 students on board the bus were uninjured in the collision.
Gabriella Rojas-Herrera was transported by EMS to the Nanticoke Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. She was ticketed for Driving While Suspended.
Alice S. Collick was uninjured in the crash. She was ticketed for Failure to Remain Stopped.
US Alt. 13 South Market Street was impacted for approximately 45 minutes while the crash was investigated and cleared.

Did you not read the aricle?
I have seen how some of these bus drivers drive those buses and it's not pretty. One time one was making a left turn into Parkside and part of the bus was still in MY travel lane. I'm sure there are fine bus drivers out there but the bad ones make you all look bad. And Lord bless ya, that is one job I would never be able to do....and stay outta jail. I'm old school and would 'correct' some of those kids, which I am sure is against the law nowadays.
