Eastern Shore USBC raises $4,522.00 for Women Supporting Women

On March 18th, The Eastern Shore USBC invited local bowlers to the newly remodeled Southbound Alley in Fruitland to raise money for local breast cancer organization, Women Supporting Women. In addition to the entrance fee, Silent and Chinese Auctions were on display to raise funds to support the non-profit’s mission to provide free services and support to all those affected by breast cancer on Delmarva. $4,522.00 was raised by the end of the night. “We want to thank the Eastern Shore USBC and especially Ashley Webb for making this event an unbelievable success,” Emily Rantz, Director of Community Relations for WSW said. “Our services are provided to our survivors for free, because of fundraisers like this. We appreciate the support very much.”

Women Supporting Women is a local, grass-roots non-profit organization dedicated to providing awareness, education and support to all those who are affected by breast cancer. With no national ties or funding, they rely completely on our community to help provide free services to our neighbors, friends and families right here on Delmarva. To learn more about WSW, visitwww.womensupportingwomen.org or www.facebook.com/womensupportingwomendelmarva, or stop by the Salisbury office located at 1320 Belmont Avenue, next to the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore.

Way better to give to them than that pink ribbon charity that pockets most of the money for themselves.
