Wicomico County Animal Control said in a news release Monday that authorities found 200 dogs inside a barn in Eden, while another 100 were found inside a house on the same property on April 6.

And these conditions alone do not warrant the beginning of a criminal indictment? What is our State Attorney waiting for? These people should have been arrested on the spot.
9:43 once charged the clock starts ticking so to speak. 300+ dogs means possibly 100's of counts will be filed on each of the individual charges. This is not just a simple case of one dog. Each and every dog is evidence and needs to be documented. In this particular situation patience and making sure every i is dotted and t crossed will make certain of a successful prosecution.
These people need to be in jail. I'm not familiar with the area. Was the house isolated that neighbors couldn't hear over 200 barking dogs?

I have no doubt that they will be. Last I heard they are still collecting evidence. Let them get their ducks in a row so they can be sure to get these creeps locked away.
10:22 if it is who I think it is yes the house sits pretty far back off the road and is isolated. But it is my understanding that many complaints were called in throughout the years about the people.
How can anyone live in a house with 100 dogs? The odor would knock you over.
Documentation of each and every dog equates to a slowdown in the rehabilitation process.In my personal opinion,the well being of the dogs exceeds the importance of any charges involved.Getting the dogs healthy should be the number 1 priority.There are 2 phases of appeasing the public,those being rehab for the dogs and forthcoming charges filed.The rehab outweighs the charges by a long shot.

I have seen a few people say they were reported. Maybe the new director at the humane society actually is listening to the people for once and something was done. I feel better that someone new is in charge to handle this than the previous directors. We will have to see how it is handled. I know this story is all over facebook. I don't just mean local news. The humane society is going to have lots of supplies and cash flow in the next couple of days. I hope someone is keeping track of it all.
12:10 this would be the county's animal control responsibility and not the humane society. Animal control is the agency tasked with investigating animal complaints.
Rumor has it the new director is on a short leash with the previous director at the other end. The previous director also has control of the checkbook, apparently. There was an interview with one of the neighbors on TV last night. He claims they've made numerous reports with no response over the last few years. That interview is nowhere to be found. This is not the first abuse case to not be prosecuted when it should've been.
This is the county animal control's responsibility. Unfortunately:
