The U.S. Justice Department announced Monday it has successfully accessed data stored on the iPhone that belonged to the San Bernardino gunman without Apple's help, ending the court case against the tech company.
The surprise development effectively ends a pitched court battle between Apple and the Obama administration.
The government told a federal court Monday, without any details, that it accessed data on gunman Syed Farook's iPhone and no longer requires Apple's assistance.

Apple has some work to do - hardening their systems to prevent this from happening...or every other one of these phones - or any other phone with the same base operating system, just became a government based security risk
Everyone will start doing what the Isis group does, buy a bunch of phones, use them once or twice then throw them away.

It was probably a new iPhone,one you use your finger print to access, they have his body/finger prints they probably had someone smart enough to use that. Doesn't take a genius and not court order
The DOJ was approached by an "unidentified third" party with a possible method to get into the phone a week ago.

Noticed they didn't say a word as to whether or not they found anything of interest. The phone was probably cleared before they left to do their deed. Most of the time criminals like that have the foresight to do things like that especially when they're involved in a network. Hence, why they are suicidal by nature.
Hell, there's a kiosk at the mall that could have hacked that phone.
Not possible, so this tells me that apple gave in to the feds... It is all a show, apple folded like a house of cards with a brick on top of them, they put this news out there about how the govt wants to hack in, which they do, always, and supposedly went after apple... They played this game to make it look as if they are fighting for your rights, just like Boner did as the speaker of the house, I will fight to stop obama care yet every time there was a vote, he voted with obama care... This is all a rouse so you will continue to buy their over priced crap from china...
There is no computer power on this earth that can break 128-bit encryption without it taking years...
