Sale Terms
A deposit in the amount of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00), payable by certified check or other form acceptable to the Sheriff’s Department of Wicomico County, will be required of the purchaser(s) at the time and place of sale. It's outside of Salisbury, in the county.
2:42...you are correct that a social security number or a business tax id number would have 9 numbers, but these are tax parcel numbers designated to real estate. Even the parcel numbers listed here, may get longer at some point by adding extensions to the existing number, if the parcel is sub-divided into smaller plots.
Since these appear to be Sheriff sales, it's most likely due to unpaid real estate taxes owed to the County over a period of time.
Foreclosed properties don't usually go through a Sheriff sale, but I guess anything is possible.
What if they had a sale and nobody showed up? Who in their right mind would want to invest money in Wicomico county? Good luck with that...
